Friday night lights

by Alison, 23/05/2014

Finally, it's the weekend. It's been a long week and its time to re-set and recharge. Luckily we live in a beautiful place that gives you plenty of opportunities to do this.
Last Friday night was a perfect example. I came home with a banging headache and no real motivation. Luckily Ollie already had plans to go chasing the light and so off we went down the coast to take in the wild Atlantic at sunset.

A couple of hours later I felt like a new person. Tired but feeling good. Lying in the long grass, the wind buffeting me and the bog cotton dancing all around.  Definitely a good place to be. (Though Ollie may not have found this so relaxing. He looked over at one stage, couldn't see me and for a split second wondered had I gone over the cliff. Oops.)
I had a friend from Dublin recently describe a lot of the things I do as restorative activities. I've got to say I like that description. I think we all need that in life. So here's to the weekend.

    1. Thanks! Ollie definitely got some good light with George this weekend. Saturday was pretty grim, though yesterday cleared up nice enough.

    1. Haha it looks good in between the rain clouds. Funnily enough its the clouds that make the sky interesting. Hope you had a nice weekend.
