Back to the blog

by Alison, 11/11/2014

Hello again. Sorry for the hiatus but hopefully we are now back and ready to chat. I could discuss a lot of reasons for why we haven't been blogging this past month. Some of you would be interested, some wouldn't. When it boils down to it though, there is no point creating content for contents sake. This is a place to explore passions, to find a voice, to share and collaborate. Slowly I'm finding much like in my non-virtual life, sometimes I am full of motivation, and ready for new experiences and sometimes I just can't decide what I want to do so I end up doing very little.

Our most recent adventure was a trip to Iceland. We have now been home far the longer then we were away but some experiences weigh more then others. I often find when I am  away on short trips, I feel as though there is no time to process anything. Every day is your last Monday, Tuesday, Saturday.  There is little time to revisit places instead you are constantly absorbing new views, new tastes, new places.

When we first came home from the holiday I found it hard to settle back into a work life routine and all I wanted to do was hibernate in front of the fire. Now I've had that time and I'm want to share our Icelandic experiences because let me tell you - Iceland is awesome.

We have no close friends or relatives who have been to Iceland however the amount of people who spoken of their friends love of the country or their own desire to go there is incredible. It seems to be a place on many peoples bucket list and my advice is keep it there, let it move up the list and when you get a chance to visit, jump at it.

In order to persuade you, over the next few weeks we are going to share some of our favourite experiences. These will range from exploring Reyjavik with a local to sitting beneath a sky filled with the Northern Lights.

Hopefully they will provide you with some inspiration.
